The attractive Lincolnshire village of Blankney lies at the heart of Blankney Estate, a farming estate with a history which has been traced back to the time of the Norman Conquest.
Although arable farming continues to be the mainstay of the business of Blankney Estates Ltd., the estate also operates an 18 hole golf course on its historic parkland and owns limestone aggregate and blockstone quarries which are operated by Longwood Quarries Ltd.
Residential and commercial property is available to let from time to time both in the village of Blankney and on farmsteads in the surrounding countryside.
Blankney Estates operate one of the few surviving commercial grass driers in the UK which, for much of its life, has traded under the name of British Crop Driers producing both dried grass and alfalfa.

Limestone products have grown enormously in popularity over the past decade in both domestic and commercial properties, but it is a market that has been led by retailers selling imported limestones. That is not entirely surprising as the quarrying of limestone in the UK is carried out on a much smaller scale than it is on the Continent.
Nevertheless, there is a demand for english limestone, both in the Uk and overseas, and one company producing them and specifially targeting them to the UK retail market is English Limestone Ltd. We are a family run business, working from our own Lincolnshire quarries.
We currently produce various limestone products. We don’t stop there though – we can become involved in every aspect, from the initial design process through to the laying & fitting, our bespoke service offering cabochens and border, skirting, cills, steps & staircases, fireplaces & hearths and various walling stones – the concept is often as important as the product!
